• This new web site is for people who wish to make a modest difference to improve our world, however small that difference is.

We  will start off by having the site as open as possible so users can freely express their views on what they consider to be the good, the bad and the ugly, and what they would like to see changed.

This can be about Microsoft, PayPal, Nordea, Facebook, Google, Broadband suppliers et al, the best and the very worst. Some examples are provided below.

  • Identifying Microsoft Windows Update practises. Out of 100 recommended downloads, my experience is you are lucky if 10 are  successfully installed!

  • The financial risks of buying through PayPal – beware of hidden  auto-subscribe options and what PayPal defines as “Authorised Payments” – because if you’re not aware and your vendor charges you double claiming you auto-subscribed, it will be virtually impossible to get a refund from either the vendor or PayPal in the current situation.

  • Hopefully the PayPal praxis above will not be sustainable and will be changed by next Spring 2018 due to GDPR. In the meantime, caution is the operative word if you don’t want to throw your money away into PayPal’s coffers.

  • Nordea’s recent decision to relocate its headquarters to Finland, and the Swedish Governments baffling lack of concern may be worth challenging as not only will Sweden lose tax revenues, but the relocation may also make it significantly more difficult to resist pressure to remain outside the Eurozone as Finland is also a member of the European Banking Union.
